The “Double Acid LION” is a custom built portable, dual powered AC/DC amplifier with a built in preamp. Rugged looking and loud enough for a street corner or your family room jam.
It’s built in a popular Acid Cigar box powered by a 30 watt (15 Watt per channel) stereo amp feeding 2 premium speakers and a sound hole. Power is supplied by a 12v 2800 mhr “built on” Lithium Ion Battery or an optional external 12V 2A DC power source (not provided). A built in pre-amp boosts the signal level of most pickups to a level they will drive the power amp without a problem. There is a gain control on the internal pre-amp that can be adjusted for proper gain of depending on the guitar and pickup you will use with this amp. Many cigar box guitars require an external pre-amp. This one does not.
The estimated run time will vary based on the type of battery used and the average power level. Normal use ( 2 watts continuous power to speaker) will give you over 15 hours of play time or over 6 on a street corner (it will outlast your fingers for the day). 9 Volt batteries won’t last 2 hours under that power drain. Unit comes with charger for Lion battery. The charger cannot be used to power the unit.
AC/DC Power source is selected by switch. It’s sounds as good as it looks. It will fill any room in your home and suitable for small crowds.
