About our Mini Roaring LION speaker: (finished speaker not included but you can build one yourself. We did the research testing and development of this system.

The “Mini Roaring LION” is a custom built, designed & tested unique guitar dual powered AC/DC amplifier with built in pre-amp.

Small but powerful. Looks good sounds great! Blows away those cheap Chinese mini amps.

The built in pre-amp feeds a 10 Watt power amp connected to a quality full range speaker. This pre-amp boosts the signal level of most pickups to a level that drives our power amp without a problem. Many cigar box guitars require an external pre-amp. This one does not.

It is powered by an included Internal 9v Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery producing more power than a normal 9v Nicad. It can be recharged with a normal USB charger with a micro USB connector on it (not provided but you have these at home anyway). You can play while the battery is being charged! You can use our optional “USB Lion Power Pack Booster” with this amp (only $10 more) for up to 4 times more play time! It provides charging to your internal Lion battery while you play!

The perfect solution to attach your guitar to any of our amplifiers that have an AUX Line In without a built in pre-amp. It will work on any of our amplifiers providing additional amplification, tone and distortion control. this amplifier provides clean, un-distorted amplification to the output of instrument level devices, such as electric guitars and bass guitars. It features a 1/4″ TS plug, which plugs directly into your instrument’s output. It is powered by two AAA batteries (not included) and has a 3.5mm TRS for listening with headphones or connecting to the AUX input on our Blue Tooth amps or to the 1/4″ TS jack on our other amps (of course you should turn down the gain on this amp when you do that). You can use the provided 6′ stereo cable cable and adapter in a configuration compatible with your amp.

An additional 3.5mm TRS auxiliary input is provided for connecting another audio source, such as an mp3 player. The audio from the Aux jack is mixed with the audio from the guitar so you can play along to your favorite songs or even play a duet with yourself!

This amplifier is designed to produce a “Clean” sound, which is ideal for learning a new song and hearing the raw tonal differences between the different pickups, uncolored by overdrive or other effects. The amplifier includes analog Gain, Tone, and Volume controls. And yes you can still crank up the thing to produce a distorted over-driven effect.

We have two styles in stock, the Mono Price and the NUX. Both are essentially the same but in different packages. We have tested both. They work great. Both the same price. Order the one you want NUX or Mono Price. Indicate in a note your model preference NUX or Mono Price.

USB LION Power Pack Booster

This unit attaches to the internal 9v Lithium Ion Battery via the externally accessible Micro-USB charging port on the internal LION battery. The Power Pack can be recharged with your own normal USB phone charger with a micro USB connector on it. A short cable is provided to attach the unit to the internal battery.

This unit is only available as an Add On to an order of one of our compatible 9v Lion amplifiers. It is not available on our 12v Lion models. There is no additional shipping charges when added to an order of one of our compatible 9v amplifiers or compatible 9v Blue Tooth amplifiers.

How it works: Our 9v LION amps even play while the battery is being charged. That allows you to use this optional external USB charging bank for many more hours of continuous play. This charges the internal battery while the internal battery is being discharged during play or while at rest. It shuts down if the internal battery is fully charged. It can easily extend the play time you by a factor of 5. Of course time will vary based on the level you set the volume on the amp. We also provide double Velcro attachment tape so you can conveniently attach this small to the amplifier.
